the Agenda for the Next Couple of Years...Notes from the Editors
Over the next year the upcoming theme for SACJTC will be "Strategies for Success in Challenging Times." Over the next year we will be soliciting articles and proposals on best practices addressing this theme with a goal of selecting one "best practice" per quarter (Fall 2009, Spring 2010, Summer 2010, Fall 2010) and one overall winner per year. We have proposed to invite the overall winner, if possible, to present at the 2011 SACS annual conference in New Orleans and to possibly be awarded a cash prize. The four quarterly winning articles could be showcased on the website and possibly in another special edition of the Community College Journal of Research and Practice in 2011 or early 2012.
With that being said our first call for papers on the theme is now OPEN! Please send us your research or practice addressing the theme not later than August 15th. Please send your submission to mbasham@uta.edu We will be announcing the winner in the Fall 2009 semester.
