Dr. Johnny Allen, a resident of Booneville, Mississippi, became president of Northeast Mississippi Community
College in 2004. He has nearly 30 years of experience in teaching and administration at both the secondary and postsecondary
level. Dr. Allen has been heavily involved with curriculum development and improvement, having served on the Mississippi
State Department of Education Curriculum Development Team, the University of Mississippi School of Education Advisory
Council, and as chair of a general education evaluation team for a Tennessee community college. Dr. Allen is a
certified PTK Leadership Trainer and he has been very active with Rotary International in Booneville, Mississippi
for many years.
Dr. Allen is married to Christi Cartwright Allen and has two children, Jessica and John, Jr. |
